(More customer reviews)This is the best flashlight I've ever owned, period. It is small and easily carried, either on the belt or in the pocket. The four different levels, easily selected, provide light appropriate to whatever you need. In addition, there is an "SOS" flashing mode, and a bright strobe.
The brightest level is surprisingly bright for such a small light. I have a very large yard, and the brightest level easily illuminates the most distant parts. The brightest level, that can be set as the default, is so bright that it could function as a kind of self-defense, disorientation weapon, depriving a potential attacker of his night vision. This light would be ideal for joggers at night, both for self-defense and ordinary illumination. To give you some idea of the size, it is exactly as tall as my iPhone, and about 7/8" in diameter.
The flashlight itself is very solid and seems quite durable. I've had no problems with it, even having dropped it a couple of times on a hardwood floor. Battery life is excellent; I have used it frequently for over a year and only had to replace the batteries once. The batteries themselves are small and have a very long shelf life, so there is no problem keeping a couple on hand.
The only thing I wish is that the body weren't quite so round. If you place it on a table, there is a risk it can roll off. But this is a small complaint, far outweighed by its many virtues.
This would make an excellent gift, especially for someone who appreciates high-quality, EDC (every day carry) items.
