(More customer reviews)I ordered this item twice. The first time it arrived without the torch. It was thought that it was lost in shipment. This item comes in two boxes. After a full refund I later reordered it again. Guess what happened again? no torch. Somehow the they were shipping the item without the torch. So the torch wasn't lost in shipping the first time I ordered it. I notified both Amazon the company who ships/makes it. The shipper/maker fixed it a third time and I finally received it. Ok! now the review of the item. Very cool/hot! Got propane? the instruction were a little vague. It didn't explain how the regulator is supposed to be hooked up. I figured it our eventually but dealing with gas you don't want to be guessing on things. The torch did come a little scratched up. Again the infamous torch. That's all.

(More customer reviews)I purchased a number of these lights last year to use on the face of a retaining wall. They installed easily and look good. However, after just 6 months, the "fast lock connectors" have completely corroded through on 3 of the lights. Unfortunately, this means digging up the buried line, finding the connector and re-doing it (I'm just cutting off the fast lock connector and splicing the wires together with waterproof wire nuts). I will probably just dig up all 47 lights and replace the connectors all at once before I lay down sod. Otherwise I will have to replace the lights one at a time over the next few years until they have all failed.

This item is poorly manufactured and when I attempted to get a replacement or a return of my purchase price I was told that I passed the 30 day return policy and no consideration was given to the item being poorly manufactured. I would NEVER purchase this item and I would NEVER purchase from SAS tools through Amazon again. Amazon should remove SAS tools from their third party buyer list.

(More customer reviews)As a furniture builder I really don't have the need for the big and powerful drills except for a few occasions. This little drill is just the thing for the medium to light duty drilling that I need to do.
there are just a few things that I want to mention that may help others. First the size is just right. It is light weight and short. Easy to get into small places. The lithium batteries hold a charge for a long time and give the drill plenty of power. I have not had the problem with the time it takes to recharge the batteries. Once charged, they last long time. Second the direction switch is out of the way yet close enough that you don't have to search for it. I had a milwaukee 12v screwdriver and the swithc was always in the way. Either it was mid setting which locked the trigger or it was set at the wrong direction. It was very frustrating. Third the grip gives you good control and does not get tiresome with extended use. And last, the LED light is a great help when working inside a cabinet where there is little light to see.
I have the screwdriver also and like that just as well. Don't let the 10.8 vs 12 volt label fool you. With either of these tools you get you will get just as much run time as the 12volts.

I run a small shop and made the switch from Bosch 18V nickle metal hydride drivers to these makitas and couldn't be happier.....my only complaint being the short battery life with the stock 24 Wh Li-ion batteries. This however can be fixed by purchasing the upgraded 3.0Ah Li-ion batteries, which will drive screws all day long on a single charge.

(More customer reviews)The only people that will tell you an impact driver is basically a drill are the ones that have never used one! I will never use a drill to screw again. I'm not a carpenter but my friend has a building company and he swears by impacts for screwing as well.
As for this specific tool, I switched from a Makita which did the job, but when the M18 line came out I had to have it. This impact feels much more durable in your hand than the Makita. I have both the compact batteries and the XC models and would recommend anyone to make sure they have both in their arsenal. The compact complements the size of this impact but for long drawn-out jobs it's nice to have the more powerful battery

The mounting bracket is easy to install and solid, and the parts kits includes some spares. Directions are easy to follow and very straightforward. Once installed, your problems begin.
One, it really doesn't move air well at all. At its highest speed you will hear the motor humming, see the unit rocking, and barely feel air movement. The slowest speed is nothing more than a decorative rotation of the blades about its axis; a birthday candle would have nothing to fear from this fan.
Two, internal part quality is cheap. I pulled the light chain and it broke inside the unit, forcing me to return the entire thing. At the store where I purchased it, I counted no less than half a dozen others. These are not very good fans at all.

(More customer reviews)The Hole Pro X-230 is a well built tool that makes the task of cutting holes much simpler. If you are required to cut holes into drywall, you cannot live without this tool. It is also capable of cutting woods, plastics, and other materials.
This worked great with my puny 14.4v Dewalt drill. The plastic shield does an *excellent* job of containing dust, debris, and flying chunks. Anyone doing renovation work or a job where cleanup is a big issue, this is a must have tool. I cannot ever imagine going back to cutting holes with a drywall saw.
All of the parts are heavy duty and well built. The shield doesn't leave marks, the blades are strong, and the spinning motion is perfectly balanced. Do not waste your money with the cheaper imitations (~$50).
Because the saw blades are adjustable, this can literally replace a dozen hole saws of various sizes. The only reason to keep hole saws is for specialty applications such as cutting metal or tight locations. While the shield is removable, the "bar" that the blades attach to is a fixed length.

But after installing it on my deck, it stopped working after about 10 minutes. It does not like to operate in the cold weather. When I brought it back indoors, it worked again after it warmed up. Amazon sent me a replacement for it, but that one also did not work after being exposed to the cold. I am not talking about severe cold (e.g. below zero). Both remotes stopped functioning in 28F weather. I finally bought a similar product from my local Ace hardware store, and it has worked flawlessly.

It is not necessary to burn the weed, just heat it till the color of the leaves change, wait a few days and the weed will be dead. It works better if the ground is wet and the weed is turgid (full of water). Plus it is fun to watch them die and a lot healthier that spaying chemicals everywhere.

Gerber 22-41578 Gorge Folding Shovel Review

(More customer reviews)For what it is, this shovel is very good. My only real complaint is that it is very dull; the "digging edge" could stand to be much sharper, as it is, it is not even rounded off. That's nothing that can't be fixed with an angle grinder, though :)
As far as construction, it's extremely solid, rugged, and well made, pretty much what you'd expect from Gerber.
What you should be aware of before you buy, though, is that it is *very* small. This isn't comparable to the GI "trenching tools", or the Coleman camp shovels you're probably familiar with. It is closer to a garden spade. Folded, it will literally almost fit into your pocket, actually will fit into a larger ski jacket pocket. The blade is smaller than my (adult male) hand, including fingers. I bought this to put in my trunk for digging my car out in an emergency ... it is just barely big enough to be useful for that purpose.
So, if the size is appropriate for your needs, this is a great shovel.

(More customer reviews)We have two of these. One is 250 gph and one is 500 gph. They've both been running 24/7 for over a year and we haven't had any trouble with either one of them. The filters are easy to get out and clean and replacement filter media is readily available and inexpensive. Just make sure everything is properly and securely reconnected if you take them apart so baby fish won't get sucked in. We've never had a problem getting the hose reconnected or putting the thing back together.
We haven't noticed that our electric bill in any worse because of these.
Our pond is approximately 300 gals with goldfish and plants. We loosely cover the pond in the winter with greenhouse plastic (using a dome-shaped frame made of PVC sprinkler pipe) so the pumps can continue to run and provide aeration for the fish all year long.
UPDATE: June 18, 2009 - both pumps are still going strong. I am currently buying new sets of filter media as the original filters have finally started to fall apart -- although they are still usable, they are just getting shaggy looking and I'm not sure how much longer they will really be effective. We have continued to run both pumps 24/7/365.
