(More customer reviews)I really like Ridgid tools and have several. Since I already have several batteries and chargers, I really did not need to purchase another complete kit. Therefore, getting just the tool at a great price was an opportunity I did not want to pass up. The Autoshift Drill/Driver arrived on time and in what seemed to be new shape. It was not in the original packaging, so I could not guarantee that it was brand new...but I believe it was. The tool works as advertised and I am very happy with it.
The reason for four stars instead of five is that when I went to register it online, I found out that the part number sent to me was originally part of a kit and since I did not have the other pieces of the kit, I did not have their serial numbers, so the system would not allow me to register the tool. On having some correspondance with Ridgid support, I also found out that the Lifetime Service Agreement is only available for tools sold through Home Depot. I would be totally happy with this tool if I had not had to go through all this extra effort to get the tool registered for warranty (which I am still not guaranteed of). The batteries are the main reason I like the lifetime warranty anyway, so I don't mind not having it on the tool itself.
