I read the other reviews about people having a hard time getting it to work properly, or breaking, but given the price was so low (especially compared to competitors at $30), I figured it was worth giving it a shot. It works perfectly - super easy to use! We have several lights that are impossible to reach without scary ladders, recessed and standard, flood lights and regular bulbs, incandescent and fluorescent. This has worked a treat on all of them. In our use it has been very stable and not at all fragile. We've changed 8 bulbs so far without incident.
